The UV filters feature an aluminum alloy mount manufactured by a precision CNC
process with a special dull black anodized finish treatment to minimize reflections.
Super-hydrophobic
with nano technology
The UV filters feature dust-proof, super-hydrophobic (water repellent) coating
with nano technology which prevents dust and water from sticking to the lens
and ensures better images.
Extremely
thin lens & frame
Manufactured with extremely thin 1.0mm thick glass which provides super high
transmission for the sharpest images. The appropriate extremely thin mount avoids
vignetting with super wide-angle lenses.

The Giotto's ion technology multi-coated Digital UV Filter is
a high-tech professional quality
optical product for all cameras. Digital still and digital video camera's
CCDs are sensitive to
ultra-violet rays. The Giotto's Digital UV Filter cuts off all of the
UV rays and corrects the
image problems that can occur during the conversion of the digital signal.
The Digital UV Filter are made from the same optical glass
as professional camera lenses. They have been
anti-reflection and super-hydrophobic multi-coated on each side using
ion technology. Ion coating creates
plated film ionization and molecularity that evenly adheres tightly to
the glass surface. This coating ensures
high light transmission, repels dust and moisture which prevents water
from sticking to the surface of the glass. |

To achieve high-transparency
and to avoid flare from UV rays or strong sunlight, we use anti-reflection
multi-coatings on the filter plus a blackened out edge and a satin-smooth
mount finish to cut off all unnecessary rays and to minimize reflections.
